For the past week or so, something has been stirring around in my spirit. Three words…Point of Contact. While thinking on those words, I came across a card I once received from a partner. Within her card was a seed she wanted to sow into the ministry.
While I was thankful for the seed sown, it was the words she had written in the card that spoke to my heart and even confirmed what I felt God was speaking to me. Her note said, “This seed is my point of contact with heaven’s economy.”
Now, more than ever before, we must be aligned with heaven’s economy. With the things that have been going on in our world the past two years – if we are not aligned with heaven’s economy, it could be a scary thing.
Although we see a great deal of chaos, I have watched as God has continued to bless those who are faithful to His Word in their finances. God has continued to prosper them, even in this time of an economic crisis.
How can that be? Because they are connected, not to the economy of the world, but to heaven’s economy.
We know, the way to not be bound by the economy of our world is to practice the principles of God. If God says He will prosper you in times of famine, He will. We can trust in His Word…if we continue to walk in His ways.
As things seem to become more dismal, we must hold fast to the promises of God. Especially those concerning healing and finances.
When I read the card, I began to do a Word search on the phrase point of contact. I knew what it meant on the surface, but I felt God was saying something deeper.
Point of contact means a specific intersection, a contact point. While this was interesting, I didn’t feel I had found the key yet. Then I found the key definition; the act of joining by causing your path to intersect with your target’s path. Wow!
Her seed was the act of causing her path (her financial path) to intersect with her target path (heaven’s economy).
You see, she had come to a crossroad, a place of the meeting of two roads. She had a decision to make. Would she trust the world’s economy or heaven’s economy? She decided to purposely cause her path to intersect with God’s path of abundance.
Her seed was that point of contact, the act that caused her to hit that target.
Isn’t that a good word! Each time we purposely sow a seed, it is our point of contact, and it will cause heaven’s economy to be released on our behalf.
We do not have to fear what is going on in the world financially. We do not live by their principles. We live by God’s principles – as we do that, He will cause all grace to abound to us.
2 Corinthians 9:8 says, “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.”
How does He do that?
We only need to read on to find out…
Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness. (2 Cor. 9:10)
God gives us seed to sow. When we sow it, we align with heaven’s economy! That is great news.
Two things I know.
- We reap what we sow.
- When I have a need, God always has me sow a seed.
He may not require that of you – I am only speaking from my own experience.
Today, I believe God is reminding us of the way to rise about the world’s economy. The way to purposely intersect with heaven’s economy. We do that with our point of contact – our seed, sown in faith and obedience.
Like my friend, I choose to align with heaven’s economy today. My faith is in God, His Word, and His principles. Today, if you need a significant harvest, sow a significant seed. If you need a continual harvest, sow continually. For you will surely reap what you sow. Whatever you do today, keep yourself aligned with heaven’s economy.
