Happy Jewish Rosh ha Shana.

This week I have had great anticipation in my spirit.

You know how people feel just before January 1 hits, proclaiming a new year? That is how I am feeling in my spirit this week.

And rightly so, because we are right in the middle of the passing of a year on the Jewish calendar. In God’s timing, 5777 has come to an end and we are embarking on a new year. And my spirit is excited!

At sundown on September 19, 2017, yesterday, Rosh Hashanah began. This is the Jewish New Year and we are right in the middle of it. I wanted to take some time to talk to you about this today as I believe it is very important.

Rosh Hashanah is celebrated with candle lighting, festival meals, the sounding of the ram’s horn and setting aside time for the word of God.

There are particular scriptures read during Rosh Hashanah, you can find about more about this by searching online.

Jewish custom is that a particular declaration is made over people during this time. That declaration is ‘May you be inscribed and sealed for a good year.’

That is my prayer over each one of you today; may you be inscribed and sealed for a good year as we enter into a new year on God’s calendar.

As I was studying this holiday, this set aside time in God, I came across something that hit my spirit. The teaching shared how this was also called the ‘head of the year.’

He went on to say; just like the head controls the body, our actions on Rosh Hashanah has a tremendous impact on the rest of the year.

I had already been feeling that what I did during this time was pivotal, therefore this only came as confirmation.

My plan during Rosh Hashanah, is to set aside time, as much as possible, to spend with God and to spend in His word. My plan is to spend intimate time in the presence of the Lord. And my plan is to sow my first-fruit offering for the New Year.

All throughout the bible we read that there were holy times in God, times GOD declared were set-apart days unto Him. Those were times to come before Him, hear His word spoken, bring an offering and listen to what God had to say to His people…this is one of those times.

So, I am going to light my candles, seek my God, read His word, listen for His voice, sow my seed and declare that I am inscribed and sealed for a good year from my God.

I don’t know about you, but I feel this coming year is going to be one that is blessed by God for those who are following Him and obeying His voice. I don’t know about you but I feel God has recently released revelation and insight and secrets to those who are seeking Him to enable and empower them to press into all God has for them. I am one of those. I press forward to the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. I am declaring and expecting a glorious New Year.

My prayer for you today is; may you be inscribed and sealed for a good year in God. May your reverence of this holy day unto God impact your new year in a tremendous way and may you never be the same, in Jesus name. May all God has promised you come to fruition during this time and this season. And may you have the happiest and blessed year you have ever had, may joy literally overtake you as you walk daily in the blessings of Almighty God.
