Saturday night I dreamed all night long.
It was an odd night, I felt half-asleep yet very alert all through the night.
In this state of half in and half out, I continued to dream, the same dream, yet different, over and over.
I dreamed of harvest time.
In each dream I visited a harvest field.
One dream was a field overflowing with vegetables. Every vegetable I could imagine was there. But they were not normal size vegetables. They were massive. For instance, there were celery stalks that were over five feet tall. The person who was over that field, broke off a piece and handed it to me to try. The taste was amazing. Fresh and perfectly harvested.
As I looked down the field in the first dream, I was astounded at the amount of harvest.
In this dream, I remarked how it was not yet time for harvest, it had come early. It was as if the seed had only been sowed the week before and the harvest suddenly came up.
I woke up from this dream and fell back to sleep, yet still alert.
In the next dream, it was again a field of harvest.
As I walked through the field, I saw things that are not normally viable plants for this area. There were vegetables of course. But there was much more! I continued through this field in amazement. Right before my eyes were all kinds of nuts growing. Walnuts were hanging on vines. (Yes, I know this is unusual). Pecans were hanging on vines. Every nut I could think of was growing in this harvest field. In the garden itself, not on trees.
I turned in another direction and there were cotton plants growing. It was the most unusual harvest field I had ever witnessed.
Again, I woke up.
The next dream I had was a different kind of harvest. This was a building filled with everything you could imagine. It was filled with beautiful furniture.
I walked through this huge building filled with beds, sofa’s, tables, appliances, dishes, everything you would ever need in a house. It was filled to the brim. People were coming in and picking up what they wanted, without paying for it. No matter how much they took, the supply didn’t diminish.
My final dream of the night, actually into the morning, was a culmination of all the dreams. I stood looking at these fields, amazed at the size of the harvests. Shocked at the diversity of the different things being harvested. It was incredible.
After praying into this dream and meditating on it there are a few points I want to bring out.
First. The harvest came early. It seemed in the dreams that the seed was planted and came up immediately. One morning there was no harvest, the next time I looked it was filled with harvest.
In the Message Bible, Amos 9:13 says; Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.” God’s Decree. “Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I’ll make everything right again for my people Israel: “They’ll rebuild their ruined cities. They’ll plant vineyards and drink good wine. They’ll work their gardens and eat fresh vegetables. And I’ll plant them, plant them on their own land. They’ll never again be uprooted from the land I’ve given them.” God, your God, says so.
Second, the harvest was massive in size. As I said, the celery was over five feet tall. The grapes were huge. Everywhere I turned the crop was greater in size than is even possible.
I was reminded of when the children of Israel spied out the land. We find this in Numbers 13:23, 27.
When they came to the valley of Eshcol, they cut down a branch with a single cluster of grapes so large that it took two of them to carry it on a pole between them! They also brought back samples of the pomegranates and figs. (Verse 23)
This was their report to Moses: “We entered the land you sent us to explore, and it is indeed a bountiful country—a land flowing with milk and honey. Here is the kind of fruit it produces. (Verse 27)
Third, the harvest was quite unusual.
Not only was it massive in size, but things were growing where they wouldn’t normally grow. Nuts were growing in the harvest fields. These should grow on trees. But wherever they were planted, they produced fruit. Cotton was growing alongside the vegetables and nuts. It was really incredible to see a harvest field that met every need. Not only food, but clothing as well.
Fourth, in the final dream, every need was met, beyond food. Whatever people had need of in their homes, offices, and churches was readily available. All they had to do was take it. And it wasn’t junk, it was the best of the best.
Finally, the fifth thing I feel the Lord showed me in this dream.
Each harvest field I visited was the property of those I personally know who have made a lifestyle of planting seed each year. They plant seeds regardless of the weather. If they have a failed crop one year, it doesn’t deter them from planting the following year. They are farmers. They are sowers and they depend on their sowing for their harvest.
Ecclesiastes 11:4 says, He who watches the wind will fail to sow, and he who observes the clouds will fail to reap.
A harvest is coming, is here…for those who have made sowing a lifestyle. Maybe not for those who don’t, but definitely for those who do.
This harvest is coming early. Perhaps it is here!
This harvest is massive and unusual. It is going to reap a bigger supply than you could possibly imagine!
It is an unusual harvest. It will produce things in this season that you thought could never happen in your life.
This harvest is going to meet every need in abundance. Every single need.
Have you been faithful in your sowing? If so, you are entering into your promised land. It is time to see the fruit of your labor. It is time to behold the abundance you have perceived in your spirit. It is time! It is harvest time!
Meditate on this:
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9
