This morning I was thinking about a movie I once watched. In the movie the character made one statement that stopped me in my tracks. I was reminded of how the Lord had me begin to pray in alignment with the statement, not only over myself but our partners as well.

The movie was about a woman whose home was being foreclosed. In an effort to save her home, she began baking cakes and selling them. What seemed an impossible task at first actually started working and she could see the light at the end of the tunnel, she actually thought ‘this may work, it looks like I will be able to save our home!’ Then things took a turn. She was getting orders by the dozens for her cakes but suddenly had no way to ship them or deliver them. It looked like it was not going to work out after all.

She sent all her helpers home and she began to pray to God. She said ‘Take me all the way Lord. Do not allow me to be stopped half way, take me all the way to my promise, take me all the way Lord.’

This statement hit my spirit as I began to think about many of our readers and partners who are seeing a little evidence of blessing here and there but have not seen the fullness of their prayers answered. I think about the people who are believing for healing and while it is ‘getting better’ they have not yet received full and complete wholeness, or they have not received a clean bill of health from their doctor.

I thought about the people who are tithers and givers and they have seen God’s faithfulness in little areas, with breakthroughs here and there, but have not yet experienced the promises of the tither which includes the windows of heaven being opened and pouring out a blessing they don’t have room to contain.

Can anyone relate?

While I am so very thankful for every little and every big thing God does for me and this ministry, I see that we have not yet reached overflow, not in my personal life or the ministry – in other words, we have not gone all the way to our promise yet.

I think of the children of Israel. Their promise was the Promised Land, a land flowing with milk and honey, the wilderness was not their promise and it was not what God wanted for them. No, they had a land set apart for them by God. However, most of them never made it. Most of them didn’t go all the way, most of them died in the wilderness. The bible says they didn’t enter in because of their unbelief which showed up most often in the form of murmuring and complaining.

I don’t know about you today, but I am going all the way. I began praying on Saturday ‘Take me all the way Lord, don’t allow me to stop half-way, don’t allow me to be hindered another day, take me all the way Lord, all the way to the fulfillment of the promises you have made me, in your written word and in prophetic words, take me all the way Lord.’

I am praying this for you and for me.

Friends, I encourage you to begin to pray this with me, refuse to be stopped. God has a Promised Land set aside just for you – He has promises that belong to you and He fully expects you to see the complete fulfillment of those promises, whether they are financial, physical, spiritual or relational…they are yours for the taking – ask God today to take you all the way! Praise the Lord!

Prayer for Today: Take us all the way Lord! This we ask in unity, in Jesus name. Amen.
