Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. Exodus 23:20

Years ago, I heard an interesting story about a man who had lost his watch. It was a nice watch which had sentimental value to him. He was concerned that it had been permanently lost when they moved. He began to pray about the watch and he and his wife searched the entire house for it, but they couldn’t find it. Finally, when he had searched everywhere, he asked God to show him where it was.

One day, as he was praying, God said to him ‘is it in the earth?’ He said ‘yes, of course.’ Then God said ‘then tell the angel to bring it to you.’ Hmm He had never thought about that, right away he ask the angel to bring him his watch.

A week or so went by and one day he found the watch lying on top of the dresser. He thought ‘oh wonderful, my wife found my watch.’ Later that day, he approached his wife curious to know where she had found the watch and she said ‘I didn’t find it; I have no idea where it came from.’ Apparently the angel brought it to him.

Hebrews 1:14 says ‘are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?’ The word ‘minister’ in this scripture means to execute the command of others. Angels execute the word of those who are saved in Christ, who are born again.

But they don’t execute just any word, they execute the word of God for God’s people. Psalm 103:20 confirms this truth. It says ‘Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word.’

The angels of God are here to minister to us, to bring to pass all the word of God for our life. (Interestingly, Cindy Jacobs released an encouraging word on Tuesday, Sept. 5, that goes along with this motivation. I included a link below.)

Let’s look at Exodus 23:20, ‘Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.’

Here we see another truth about the job of an angel; to bring us to the place God has said is ours, our destiny, what He has prepared for us, our Promised Land.

Angels also have a part to play in our harvest. God has been talking to us lately about harvest and those who believe it is here are beginning to see the evidence of it. Harvest is here, it’s not coming, it is here.

In John 4:35 Jesus said ‘don’t say it is four more months and then harvest is here’ He said ‘look, harvest is here now.’ God is a now God, His word is a now word and I believe this is what He is saying today, ‘don’t say harvest will be here in a few months, it’s here now.’

Can you perceive it? If so, you will eat of it, if not, you won’t. It’s very simple, many people will miss the harvest because they are unable to see it in the spirit first, they still say ‘I am not seeing it.’ Or ‘it’s not happening for me.’

Angels hearken to the word of God – if you want them working on your behalf, you are going to have to speak only the word of God because that is ALL they will listen to. They will not move at what you hope or wish for, only what the word of God says and the word of God says your harvest is here, if you can agree with that and confess it, you will see this amazing season of harvest.

Remember the word of God to the man with the watch ‘is it on the earth?’ If what you have need of can be found on this earth then you can assign or send your angel to get it and bring it to you.

Give them an assignment, they have already been assigned to you, give them instruction from the word of God. Tell them ‘get my harvest and bring it to me.’ They will, as surely as they delivered that man’s watch, they will deliver your harvest. Assign them, speak the word of God, allow them to take you to the place God has for you. The place of healing, the place of abundance, the place of peace, the land flowing, a continual flow of milk and honey, the Garden of God, Eden.

Angels are among us, they are waiting on their command. And let me leave you with this; angels are not wimpy creatures with wings. No! They are mighty messengers of God. They are never defeated and they always accomplish their task. You see the confirmation of this all through the Bible. They are mighty and they are sent to work for you. Put them to work today and watch all things good come to you, for He is certainly the God of all good.

Prayer for today: Thank You Father that You did not leave us here alone. You gave us the Holy Spirit and angels to minister among us. Thank You Father for protecting us and helping us in our daily walk! Angels! – I release and commission you now to go and minister to my friends and loved ones that need the truth of God’s word in their lives in Jesus’ Name! Minister to them the goodness of God which will draw them to repentance in Jesus’ Name! Amen!
