As I listened to him share what God had given him for 2017, Perry Stone made a simple, yet profound statement, he said ‘blessings come through confession.’

I have always known the power of our words and the importance of confession yet I had never heard it put quite this way; blessings come through confession. I knew the moment I heard it that it was a true statement.

Romans 10:9-10 says; “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

The New Living Translation says it like this: “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.”

In other words, this scripture is saying…with our heart we believe that Jesus is the Son of God and was raised from the dead, and in believing, we are made right with God…yet it is our confession that solidifies it and settles our salvation.

It is not just our believing in Jesus and what He did at the cross but also our confession of what we believe that grants us salvation and all it includes which is healing, wholeness, prosperity, peace of mind, restoration, reconciliation. And on and on.

As I did a word study on this scripture, I found the words mouth and confession mean repeated blows rather than a single incident. In other words, we are to continually confess what we believe and as we do it causes repeated blows to the devil. Each time we hit the enemy with the word of God, it is making an impact and breaking through into the very things we are believing God for.

Proverbs 18:21 says death and life are in the power of the tongue and we will eat of it. In other words, whatever is coming out of our mouth is what you will be experiencing in your life. YES! Your words are that important.

Hebrews 11:3 says the entire world was framed with words. It says the entire world was framed with things you could not yet see…words. Since we are made in the image of God, we do the same thing; we frame OUR world with OUR words. What are you building today with your words?

Mark 11:23 says; For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

What ever he saith shall come to pass. He shall have whatsoever he saith. This word saith simply means to speak. Whatever you speak is what you have. Please get this, whatever you speak IS WHAT YOU WILL HAVE. It cannot be any plainer than that.

Friends, it is VITAL to watch the words that come out of your mouth, absolutely vital. Don’t say ‘it’s not working.’ Don’t say ‘I will never see breakthrough.’ Don’t say ‘I will die of this disease.’ Don’t say anything you don’t want to see and eat of.

The Bible says ‘let the weak say I am strong.’ In other words, if you are weak, confess strength. If you are poor, confess prosperity. If you are sick, confess healing. If you are in debt, confess debt freedom… let the weak say I AM STRONG. Say what God says about you and your situation. And nothing more, only what God and His word says. Remember, you will eat of the fruit of your lips.

Blessings come through confession. That is the truth. Today, begin to confess your blessings and watch what God can do with your words when they line up with His truth, His truth is blessings come through confession.
