I get a certain look on my face. Or I grab a notebook and begin to write down notes.  Breanne and the kids have come to recognize it.  They know exactly what I am thinking.

They know whatever just took place, I am going to write a motivation about it.

It doesn’t matter if it is something big or small – whatever it is, God is speaking, and I need to take advantage of this moment.

We are all learning.  I know I am.  Each and every day God is teaching us – through many different ways.  Through nature.  Our family.  Children.  Circumstances.  There is always something to learn, and ways to grow spiritually.

These moments are invaluable to us as Christians.

I have learned more spiritual lessons through everyday life than I could ever count.

It can be something big – like grieving over the loss of a loved one.  Or something small, like getting frustrated with traffic.  Whatever it is, if we listen closely, God is speaking.  Not only speaking, He is teaching.

Hebrews 13:5 says, “For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”

In Matthew 28:20, Jesus said, “Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Whether we are aware of it or not, we are never alone.

God, the Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit are with us every single day.  Every place we go, every activity we attend, they are right there.  Leading and guiding us and teaching as we go.  That is, if we will listen and tune in.

Jesus said of the Holy Spirit; “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”

Every day is a divine opportunity to learn.  What are we doing with those opportunities?

My daily writings are just that.  Moments I have lived and learned from God.

It is my prayer to one day have enough staff and time available to put all my writings in a book.  However, at this point I have over 5,000 of them…and counting.  They are precious to me.  They are my life lessons from God.

You, too, have daily life lessons from God.  Are you taking the time to listen to them?  Are you writing them down?  Are you teaching them to your children and loved ones?  I am telling you – they are valuable, don’t allow them to slip away.

Today, I want to encourage you to look for the motivational moments in your own life.  Look for them.  Listen to them.  Jot them down and remember them.  Share them.  After all, they are our daily lessons in faith.  Let’s value them today and always.

A wise man will hear and increase learning, And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel.  Proverbs 1:5
