I can hardly believe it has been another year here at A New Thing Ministries. So much has happened this year and I am so glad you were a part of it with us.
This year God has opened doors for us that were a complete surprise, such as posting our articles on the Elijah List as well as Spiritfuel.me. We are so thankful that God has empowered us to touch more lives and expand our reach – thank you GOD! We give you praise.
On the other hand, this year has felt like a year of tilling the ground. Have you ever worked in a garden with a hoe? It is not easy work, it is hard on the back and legs and very tiring. As I sit here writing my final partner letter of the year, I feel as if this year has been a year of tilling the spiritual ground with a hoe. As hard as it is, I love the look of a freshly tilled ground.
It seems odd to me that I feel we now have a freshly tilled ground, I would have thought we would have had that 10 years ago when I first began our daily writings – however, this time I believe the newly tilled ground is for a new area of ministry – or a new dimension of ministry – I haven’t quite put my finger on it yet, but I sense newness on the horizon. I am excited about it and I am excited that you are with us in it. 2016 is going to be a great year for all of us – I can feel it.
However, we still have time in 2015 to make it a great year as well.
This past weekend, I was at the grocery store getting groceries for a family who had no food. My heart broke for them and others like them. I know how that feels, I have been there before. I believe that is why I have so much compassion for them. Because I have truly been there.
We have all faced challenges this past year, of that I am sure. However, we are strong in God! We are the body of Christ! We have overcome and we will continue to overcome.
My prayer is that I, our ministry, and each one of you finish this year strong and with faith intact. I know at times are faith is challenged through various trials and circumstances, but God is faithful and He will keep us if we will allow Him to.
I am asking you today, to help us to finish strong this year. It is that time of year again when those who are in lack feel it the most. We love to bring smiles to their faces during this time of year. You help us to do just that.
As you sow your offering this month, pray and ask God what He would have you give and know that it is indeed advancing the kingdom of God and bringing hope to the hopeless and food to the hungry.
Pray and agree with us also that this will be our best month of the year and we will be able to accomplish all God has put in my heart to do before this year ends. We have accomplished a great deal this year for the kingdom of God but we couldn’t have done it without you. You and I and the rest of our partners made an impact! Isn’t that awesome? As each partner gives what he/ she can, we are empowered to make a greater impact together – may the Lord be glorified in all we do!
Now, back to tilling the ground….once it is tilled, and soft enough to receive the seed, we drop in our seed, cover it up, water it and watch it grow. That’s where we are today – our ground is ready to not only receive our seed but to bring forth a tremendous harvest – I truly believe that.
I want to share a word with you from Johnny Enlow that a friend reminded me of this past Sunday – I believe it is timely…I hope you enjoy it!
Great winds of wealth and winds of wonder are blowing right now and will be increasing in November and December. Your sail will not be up to catch them if you are in fear. GET IN FAITH AND DO SOME RISKING. Sow into Kingdom advancement. Your best returns will come from investments of faith you make in November, as well as in December. (Johnny Enlow)
I know the world would have us in fear, however, remember, God has not given you a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind. Our best returns are coming….and I am excited about that – how about you? Our best days are before us – no one can stop what God is doing for His people. No one has ever been able to stop what God is doing for His people!
Well, friends, we are finishing this year strong in God! And we are entering into the new year stronger in God – that is my prayer for each one of us.
May you have a Merry Christmas! May you enjoy the peace of His presence. May you enjoy time with family and friends. May you finish strong and begin the new year with a new passion and excitement. May all your prayers be answered this year. And may the joy of the reason for this season rest upon you daily.
