A few weeks ago I shared a dream I had about our inheritance. I know I was blessed by that dream and I believe many others were as well.

One significant thing that happened in that dream was the revelation of hidden things and treasures to be revealed. You may recall, all throughout the dream I found hidden treasures and even hidden money.

Although I have not yet found hidden treasures, my daughter and granddaughter have. I have been amazed at the things they have found since I had that dream, but none have amazed me more than what my five year old granddaughter discovered and how persistent she was to dig her treasure out.

So…last week, at the beginning of the week, Brailee asked me to take her to Walgreens. For some reason this has become her favorite store of late. I asked her what she wanted at Walgreens, she replied ‘she lost her Lambie and she needed to get another one.’ Lambie, for those of you who don’t know, is a little lamb on the Doc McStuffin cartoon. Walgreens carries these little squishy toys, small, hand size toys in different characters, with Lambie being Brailee’s favorite. On Monday we went to Walgreens. We went through all the little squishy toys in the box, but no Lambie. I told Brailee they must have sold all the Lambie’s and we would have to get something else. This did not satisfy her.

The next day, we were running errands and she again wanted to go to Walgreens. She was quite insistent that we had to go and get a Lambie, I told her that we already looked and there was no Lambie. She said ‘we have to try again.’ I again took her to Walgreens to look for Lambie. No Lambie.

A few days went by and Brailee spent the night with me. The next morning when she woke up, she jumped out of bed and said ‘Nana, we have to go!’ I said ‘where are we going?’ She said ‘we have to go to Walgreens, Lambie is there!’ I said ‘Brailee, we have looked all through that store several times, honey, there is no Lambie.’ She said ‘Nana! Get me dressed, Lambie is at Walgreens!’

I did not want to go to Walgreens, but off we went. I had Bryson take her to the toy aisle while I grabbed something. I walked over to the toy aisle to hear Brailee say ‘Nana, they don’t have a Lambie in this box, me and Bryson looked.’ I said ‘honey, I told you that already.’ But nothing would stop this child, she continued to look and look. I watched as she opened this little music box they had for sale and I could hardly believe it, but somehow there was a Lambie in that little music box. I don’t know how it got there, but there it was! She said ‘see Nana, I told you!’

Brailee was sure she had a hidden treasure and she would not give up until she laid her hands on it. Oh, that we could have that same faith.

I know many of you are tired of hearing prophecy after prophecy of wonderful and amazing things coming your way. I know some of you are tired of pressing in and pressing through – but this I can tell you – it will be worth it all. You DO have a treasure at the end.

God has promised us an inheritance – it is ours for the taking – but we will have to walk it out and continue pressing in even when we feel we have exhausted all our faith.

Think of the fishermen in the Bible, they had toiled all night long and caught nothing. They were exhausted. They had done all they knew to do yet they were willing to try one more time.

I don’t know how it works exactly, but just like Brailee, there is something inside of us, deep inside that knows that we know that God has something for us. We may have looked and expected before and found only disappointment BUT still we know it is out there and waiting for us. Just like Brailee, we have to keep going back dig until we find it. I have to keep on digging and digging into the word, we have to keep digging into the presence of God, until we lay hold of it. We KNOW it is there. We can’t give up now. We must keep pressing forth. We cannot let go of the promises of God.

We have to knock and keep on knocking. We have to seek and keep on seeking. We have to press and keep on pressing. We cannot quit. We cannot give up. God has given us His word and His word will not fail us.

Hebrews 10:36, in the Amplified Bible says; ‘For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and carry away and enjoy to the full what is promised.’

I don’t know about you, but I intend to carry away and enjoy to the full what is promised to me. And I intend to dig until I find it, just as Brailee has shown me. I pray you do the same.
