Expect the unexpected – this is what God is calling us to do in this season.
I was writing our partner letter on Monday, just before I sent it out, I received an audio clip from Kelita. Normally, I would wait until I completed my task to listen, however, I felt compelled to hear the clip right away.
I am so glad I heeded the prompting of the Spirit!
As I listened, I heard Chuck Pierce say; God is watching to see how you expect more than you have ever experienced. You can’t go to a new place without new expectations. Let past hope deferred be healed. Hope is linked with expectation, whatever didn’t work out, expect again! Expect God’s way! Expect increase!
This word excited me so much because I had just written our partner letter for October, by the leading of Lord, on expecting a thousand-fold return this month. In that writing, as I shared what the Lord had shown me, He brought out a scripture in Mark 9:23. Let me share that portion of our partner letter with you today.
Mark 9:23 says; Jesus said unto him, if you can believe, all things are possible to him that believes.
If you can believe….ALL things are possible to him that believes.
I love how the NLT says it: “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.” I just love that translation!
Jesus said, ‘what do you mean…if I can?’ I can see Him saying that, can’t you? Anything, absolutely anything is possible if a person believes.
Let faith arise in you today! Meditate on this word and allow the FAITH of God to arise in you! Believe that Nothing, Absolutely Nothing is impossible if you can only believe!
I feel Chuck is confirming this word by telling us God wants us to increase our hope, increase our expectation. And to expect those things we did not see manifest in the past season. Don’t give up on it now…all things are possible in Christ! Can He do it? Of course, He can!
God is looking to see how we will expect. And we can’t go into the new place without new expectation.
I know it is not easy to keep expecting in faith, but it is doable. Think about the event in Luke 5.
Luke 5:4-7 says; When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless, at Your word I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking. So, they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.
The Amplified Bible says they had worked hard all night, to the point of exhaustion. I can relate to this, can’t you?
Yet in the midst of their exhaustion and discouragement Jesus said, ‘believe ONE MORE TIME’ and they did and they caught the biggest catch of their lives, so big, they had to have additional boats. They caught enough for them and their partners.
Now, my friends, you see why I am so excited about the word God spoke to me for October for our partners! I expect we will have a catch so large it will bless us and all of our partners! Can you believe with me? All things are possible if we only believe.
I know many of you have stood in faith, believed with all you had within you and still didn’t see the manifestation of what God has for you. If that is you, allow the past disappointments and the hope deferred to be healed this hour. Let it go. And, expect! Expect the very thing you didn’t see come to pass yet, expect God to do it His way. Don’t stop believing, if He said it, He will do it. He is not a man that He should lie, if He spoke it, He will bring it to pass. Nothing can stop it as long as you continue to believe.
It is my prayer that you will cast your net of expectation again today. That you will believe in a greater way than ever before. And that, as you cast that net, you bring in a haul unlike anything you have ever seen before.
It’s a new day! Allow God to be God in your life! Expect the abundant! Expect the fulness! Expect MORE than you have ever experienced! And Expect it Now! Glory to God!
Prayer for today: Father, we set our expectations in YOU high! Higher than they have ever been. We let go of past disappointment and hope deferred, we give it to you and we believe with the faith of God. We will see what we are expecting and we are expecting big this month! In Jesus name. Amen.
