What kind of world will our children grow up in?  I am sure many of us have asked ourselves this question recently.

As a Nana, I look around and see the mess our world is in.  This is certainly not the atmosphere I would choose for my grandchildren to grow up in.

At times of uncertainty like these, I am more thankful than ever for the word of God and the promises of God.

So, what can we do when we look at the current climate, knowing our children could be affected by their surroundings?

First of all, we pray.  Secondly, we teach them the word of God.

Finally, instead of worrying, we equip them for what lies ahead.

Remind them and ourselves that they were born for such a time as this.

Before my grandchildren were formed in the womb GOD KNEW THEM and He caused them to come forth at this time.  God doesn’t make mistakes and it is not a coincidence.  They were born in His timing!

We must teach them to meditate in the word of God, knowing as they do, they will have success.

We must teach them that when there is chaos in the world, peace can still be found in the presence of God and in His promises.

We must teach them that God is powerful, and He will work on their behalf.    Remind them, through God, they can change the world!

We must teach them to love.  First, to love God with all their heart, mind and soul. Then to love their neighbors as God loves them.

We must remember, our sweet little children are no different than David, Moses, or Daniel.

Each of these mighty men of God were once someone’s little child.  They each had a mother and a father who loved them and cared about their surroundings.  Still, they equipped to change the word.  How do I know?  Because when their moment of destiny came, they overcome through God.

Our children, too, can be overcomers – if we equip them to be. They were created by God for such a time as this, to overcome every challenge that comes their way – trust God in that.

Don’t be afraid for your children.  Instead raise them up, fully equipped to face every obstacle in life with faith and trust in God. Do not let them see fear in you when the world seems to be going crazy.  Let them see your immovable faith in an unchanging God.

Know that God chose them to be born in this time.  He chose YOU to equip them to help change the world.  He chose YOU to teach them who they are in God and who He is in them.

God isn’t concerned, He isn’t pacing the floor.  NO!  He is raising up a powerful, anointed army that will drive back the forces of darkness and cause HIS light to shine across our world.  Our children, our grandchildren are part of that army.

Don’t let fear move you.  God has placed greatness in your children.  Cultivate that greatness and watch them soar in this times ahead…for they were born, for such a time as this.

Meditate on this:

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
