While I was studying this week, I came across a scripture. As I read it, I felt the Lord wanted me to share it with you today – I believe this is a word for someone, if not for many of you.
The scripture is found in Genesis 41:52 and it says;
And the second he called Ephraim [to be fruitful], For [he said] God has caused me to be fruitful in the land of my affliction.
I love this scripture! God will cause us to be fruitful in the land of our affliction. In the very place the attack came.
Fruitful means, He will cause you and I to produce fruit in that area.
Today, you may find yourself in the land of affliction. Your affliction may be a health issue. It may be finances. It may be wayward children. It is different for all of us. Whatever it is, I believe God is saying to you today… “I will cause you to be fruitful in this place.”
One translation says God will cause us to be fruitful and successful in the very area we are afflicted in. Isn’t that good news!?!
What then does that mean for us?
It means if we have been afflicted with sickness. God will not only heal our bodies, as He promised, but He will anoint us to lay hands on the sick and bring healing to them as well.
It means if you have been afflicted with lack. God will turn the lack into abundance and give you an anointing to break lack off others around you.
Psalm 66:12 says; We went through fire and flood, but you brought us to a place of great abundance.
Gods plan is to bring us out better than we went in. To bring us out more into more abundance than we can imagine. His plan for us is a good plan. Our part is to keep moving forward and continue trusting His plan.
I do not know who this message is for today but this I do know. God is going to cause you to be successful AND fruitful in the land of your affliction.
Isaiah 61:7 says; For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore, in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.
Here we see it again….in their land.
I think this applies today more than ever. We have seen our very nation afflicted and ravaged, but God. God has promised fruitfulness in the land of affliction. I am, therefore, declaring fruitfulness for the USA, won’t you declare it with me?
Friend, I know it has not been easy. I know you have felt afflicted. You may have even felt God has left you. You wonder why He is allowing this. When is this all going to end? Those are questions I can’t answer. But this I do know for a truth. He will cause you to be fruitful in the very place you have been afflicted. He will give you double for your shame. You will possess double if you hold on and EVERLASTING JOY will be yours! Joy unspeakable and full of glory!
God cannot and does not lie – trust Him – He will do what He said He would do. You shall be fruitful in the land of your affliction. Praise the Lord God Almighty!
Meditate on this:
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you! Don’t be frightened, for I am your God! I strengthen you— yes, I help you—yes, I uphold you with my saving right hand! Isaiah 41:10
