I knew it was truth when I heard it. Oh, boy! Did I need to hear it!

I was turning in early for the night. Just as I was crawling into bed, a friend from Ohio called, sharing a conversation she had with the Lord.

“Why aren’t you using your language?” The Lord had asked my friend.

When she said those words, I knew exactly what He meant. Hope sprang up in me.

The Lord was not speaking of praying in the Spirit. He was speaking about the language of heaven.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good; (Genesis 1:1-3)

God created the entire world with words. We are empowered to do the same thing.

By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. (Hebrews 11:3)

The problem comes when we say what we see and hear with our natural eyes and ears, rather than declaring what we want the outcome to be, which is the word of God.

Millions are watching the news and declaring what they are seeing or hearing from news media. We cannot do that.

We must continue to say and declare what God says.

The language of heaven is the Word of God. If we declare the Word of God daily, our surroundings will eventually line up with what we are saying. Remember, our words have creative power.

Let me ask you this question… “what are you saying each day? What words are coming out of your mouth?”

Are you saying, “Flu is going to be worse than ever this year.” Or are you saying, “Our nation is falling, the end is here.” What words are coming out of your mouth? Are you using the language of heaven or the language of the devil?

Many are saying what they are seeing, yet expecting things to change, or even praying for things to change. Things can only change when our words line up with our prayers.

There is only light and darkness. There is no middle ground. The devil knows we, as God’s people, create with the words of our mouth. Therefore, if he can get you to agree with him with your words, you will be feeding what he wants to happen. Don’t do that.

On the other hand, if we speak only God’s language, we are creating good with the words of our mouth. It’s how we successfully walk in the authority of the believer.

Mark 11:23 reminds us, For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

According to scripture – we have what we say.

Words are always important…even more so in this current season. Please make sure you are saying ONLY what you want to see.

Proverbs 18:21 says we will eat the fruit of our words, what are you eating today?

Speak the language of heaven. Create the desired outcome with your words, just as God did.
