For those of you who refused to quit hoping, for those who refused to give up, you have a promise of a double blessing – Zech. 9:12 says Return to the stronghold, You prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you. This day, God declares, He will restore double to you.
That’s what happens when the enemy comes at you with everything he has, attacks every area of your life and you remain faithful through it all – a double blessing. Remember Job? Everything in his life was attacked, nothing was left untouched by the enemy – but through it all he refused to curse God. Through it all, he refused to stop believing God. In the end, his faithfulness and trust in God was rewarded. God restored double to him.
