Peace is the same word as shalom, which also means prosperity. Therefore when you greet someone by saying ‘Shalom!’ What you are saying to the person is ‘May you have inward peace that leads to outward prosperity.’ You cannot separate peace from prosperity neither can you separate prosperity from peace. Wherever you find peace, it make take some time, but inward peace will lead you to prosperity. When you see a person declining in prosperity, often you will find that somewhere along the line they also lost peace their peace, because peace and prosperity go hand in hand.
“Be careful for nothing but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving make your request known to God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding shall keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)
