Oh that you had heeded My commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, And your righteousness like the waves of the sea. Is. 48:18
Have you ever heard the expression, ‘hold your peace?’ When people make this comment they are usually talking about keeping your mouth shut. Not saying what it is that you want to say. I want to talk with you today about holding your peace – but in another context.
I want to encourage you to ‘hold your peace’ no matter what comes your way. God has been showing me lately how peace is a dynamic weapon that we have. Now, you may be thinking, “I can’t have peace.” But that’s simply not true – Jesus said ‘My peace I give you.’ Therefore, you do have peace. Perhaps you haven’t received it, but it was purchased just for you by Jesus, Himself. Can you imagine the power of the peace of Jesus? Can you fathom what kind of peace He must have walked in to be able to carry out God’s plan for His life? He would have had to have a tremendous amount of peace. That is what He has given us. His peace. The same peace He walked in. It’s yours for the taking.
