This morning someone sent me a word from Marsha Burnes that I want to share with you.  It was a tremendous encouragement to me, as well as an assurance of the blessings God has ordained for each one of us.

In a vision saw an ancient Roman Colosseum with Christians having been rounded up to be fed to the lions. It seemed very sad and hopeless until the Spirit of the Lord came in power to shut the mouths of the lions. And I heard Him say: Just as in ancient times, the enemy has rounded up many of My people to be destined for destruction. But I am present to shut the mouth of the enemy and keep him from devouring you and the blessings I have appointed for you. Keep your eyes on Me, for I am your great Deliverer and Savior. Psalm 138:7 Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand will save me. SMALL STRAWS by MARSHA BURNS 1.27.22

All week long, different people have called me or texted me about the roaring lion.  I believe God is saying Jesus is on the scene, as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.  I’ve heard it too many times for it to be coincidence.

“God, I thank You, that You keep me in perfect peace
because my mind is stayed upon You, and I trust you completely.”

I also love that God is saying, “But I am present to shut the mouth of the enemy and keep him from devouring you and the blessings I have appointed for you.”

We each have an appointed blessing.  God has promised us this truth and He will allow nothing to stop it. With the day I had on Thursday, it sure felt the enemy was coming to devour my appointed time of blessing.  I love that God sent this Word across my path just in time.  To let me know that He would not allow the devourer to steal my blessing.  Nor would He allow the devourer to hinder me.

He even went on to tell us how to enforce this action.

“Keep your eyes on Me, for I am your great Deliverer and Savior.”

Last week, numerous times I confessed the following scripture.

You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. (Isaiah 26:3)

Each time negative thoughts about the current situation came to mind, I would say out loud…. “God, I thank You, that You keep me in perfect peace because my mind is stayed upon You, and I trust you completely.”

I also thought about the scripture in Song of Solomon that says, “Catch the little foxes that attempt to spoil the vine when the vineyards are in blossom.”

In other words, these little harvest thieves only come around once harvest has begun.  It is at those times they attempt to spoil the harvest.

But God has said, “But I am present to shut the mouth of the enemy and keep him from devouring you and the blessings I have appointed for you.”

My friend, there is a harvest appointed for you.  Don’t allow the enemy to spoil it.  When he tries, keep your eyes on God.  Continue speaking the Word of God and refuse to give place to the devil.  God is present to stop the mouth of the enemy. Our part is to keep our eyes on Him and remain in faith.  And remember, God will keep you in perfect peace, if your mind is stayed upon Him…trusting in Him. After all, He is our Savior and our Deliverer.

Appoint My Days

I walk in soundness of mind and divine direction, for Jesus has destroyed confusion in my life. I have the mind of Christ. I will not listen to the voice of doubt and discouragement. I hear the voice of the Good Shepherd and the voice of a stranger I will not follow.
