Last week I sent out a writing with a declaration included.  The declaration was created from a prophetic word I had read the same day.

I believe in the prophetic – I believe it is an important part of our spiritual walk.  I don’t believe all prophetic words will automatically come to pass, as we may think.

After sending out that writing last week, I started hearing this statement in my heart.

“Sometimes a prophetic promise comes as a possibility for us, but we have a part to play in the manifestation of it.”

In 1 Corinthians 13:9, the Bible says; For we know in part and we prophesy in part.

Could it be that one part is the releasing of the word?  With the second part being us praying into that word?  Seeking God for direction on that word.  Praying until we fully understand and have insight concerning the prophetic word.

Since the word I shared last week was about wealth – I will use that example.

If we receive a prophetic word that we are going to be wealthy, we cannot sit around and wait for a check to come in the mail.  Although it could happen that way, it probably won’t.

1 Timothy 1:8 instructs us to wage war with the prophecies we are given.

Therefore, when we receive a prophetic word, we need to begin to seek God concerning that word.  We need to ask God to give us creative ideas or business strategies.  We need to pray in the Holy Spirit, asking God to give us ways to create wealth.  To give us ideas for new inventions.  The fulfillment of that prophetic word will come by us seeking God for instructions on how to walk it out successfully.

As we see in 1 Timothy, warfare often begins when the prophetic word is spoken.  Of course, it does!  That powerful, God-backed word has just been released into the atmosphere.   Every enemy of God will attempt to try to stop it from coming to pass.

But the good news is, if you cooperate with God and seek His face, nothing and no one can stop it.

The other good news is, God has given you weapons to fight with.  Your weapons are the prophetic words.  That is why I created the declaration.  However, you can’t just repeat it and expect wealth to fall into your lap.

Begin to confess it, of course.  But also seek God’s face about ways to implement that word into your own life.  To bring it to pass.  Expect Him to show you strategies and plans to bring wealth into your life.

The Bible says in Deuteronomy 8:18; And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

God has given you the promise in His word.  He has given you the power…the ability to get wealth.  Now, He has given you a prophetic word, confirming the scripture.  The ball is in your court.

Begin to pray into that word.  Bind the devil and stop him from working against your promise.  Know your authority in Christ.  Pray until you have insight and direction and then move forward in full confidence that God will bring the word to pass in your life.

God releases prophetic words because He intends them come to pass.  He does not give false hope.  He doesn’t discourage.

Yes, the prophetic words are God-breathed truth – but we have a part to play.  His prophetic word coupled with our perseverance and determination will bring forth the promise.  We must call those words forth.  Don’t allow prophetic words in your life to remain idle.  Do your part.  Pray into them.  Call them forth.  And remember, it is the Lord, your God that fulfills every promise – as we partner with Him.

Mediate on this:

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.  Romans 12:12
