Yesterday was one of those God-filled, extraordinary days.
It started out simple and quiet, yet quickly elevated into an exciting word from God, for me, and I believe, for many of you.
It was during offering time at church, I was listening to someone give their tithing testimony. It was a good testimony, but it didn’t immediately strike me as profound.
Yet, within seconds, the manifested presence of God surrounded me, and He began to speak to my heart. He said, “you have stepped into a time of blessing.” I knew when He said these words they were connected to tithing…my tithing history.
Tears began to run down my face, as I absorbed His rhema word. I know His voice and I knew in my heart, something had shifted at that very moment.
Astonishingly, at that same moment the praise and worship leader began to sing. He sang, “A shift has taken place, at this very moment, in my favor, breakthrough has come.”
As he continued to sing, I could hardly believe my ears. It was God, confirming His word!
He was also confirming that it wasn’t only for me, but for the many in the body of Christ who have been found faithful. To His word and especially to those who have been found faithful in obeying His word for our finances.
As the morning progressed, I heard the Spirit of God speak again to me. He said, “position yourself to receive.”
2 Chronicles 20:17 says; “You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem! Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.” (NKJV)
God is saying, “Position yourself to receive. Position yourself for the shift that has taken place. Position yourself to receive the blessing that has been released on your behalf. To receive the favor that has been released into your life.”
To do this, we must first believe He will do this. We must receive this word in faith.
It was easy for me to receive it because His manifested presence accompanied the word. You, too, must receive it by faith.
God is still the same today. He has not changed. He leads us and guides us in the way we should go. He gives us divine instruction in order to receive all He has for us…just as He did throughout the Bible.
Abraham obeyed God and God blessed him. Isaac sowed at the leading of the Lord, and God caused him to reap a hundred-fold in the same year. Joseph refused to quit, knowing what God promised him and God fulfilled His word to Joseph. Jehoshaphat positioned himself, just as God instructed, and God blessed him with abundance.
I love what Habbakkuk 2 says. It begins with, “I will position myself and wait to hear what God says to me.” (my paraphrase)
God’s response is this; “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
It will surely come. It will not tarry. Wait for it.
I believe in the days ahead, and not far off, we will be hearing daily testimonies of men and women who are experiencing abundant blessings beyond anything they ever imagined. They will be those who have been found faithful to God and His word. They will be used by God to distribute wealth and declare the gospel around the world. We can be one of those.
Today is the day to position ourselves for the blessings being released into our hand. To God be all the glory! May we never forget, and may we forever remember, it is the Lord who has done these marvelous things!
We will continue to give Him all the praise, honor and glory!
