There is power, power, wonder working power in the precious blood of the Lamb.

I love the words to this old song. It has been coming to mind continually for the past few days. It began with something my seven-year-old granddaughter said on the way to school one morning.

The grandkids stay with me once a week and I take them to school the next morning. This particular morning, I had just finished praying over the kids, their school and the staff. Brailee was in the back seat. As I finished my prayer she quipped “Nana, you forgot something!” I said, “what did I forget?” She replied, “ahem, you forgot to say Amen.” “Oh” I said, then I quickly said, “amen.”

The next words out of her little mouth were odd, to say the least. From the back seat, Bryson and I hear “Nana drinks the blood.” I knew she was referring to communion. However, Bryson and I just looked at each other. Bryson said “well, that sounded a little creepy!” I smiled and nodded in agreement.

Suddenly, from the back seat came a shout from Brailee. It was an ear-piercing shout. She shouted, “Nana drinks the power of the blood!” When she said those words, it went through my spirit like a lightening bolt. I immediately lifted my hands to the Lord and shouted “YES!”

Bryson, shocked by my response, said, “Nana, your response to that was different!”

I realize this may sound odd to some, but it is what happened, word for word. I knew God was speaking to me through this child. He was reminding me of the impact of the power of the blood of the Lamb.

There is indeed, power, power, wonder working power. It is found in the precious blood of the Lamb.

These days, I don’t often hear teaching on the power of the blood of Jesus. Yet, that blood has not lost its power. One drop is still enough.

One drop is enough to wipe away sin. One drop is enough to heal the broken hearted. One drop is enough to set the captives free. One drop is enough to drive out disease and sickness. One drop is enough to remove debt. One drop is, indeed, enough.

Revelation 12:11 says; They overcame him (Satan) by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony.

Hebrews 13:12 says; Wherefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered outside the gate.

Revelation 1:5 says; Unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood.

Exodus 12:13 says; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

We are forgiven by the blood of the Lamb. We are sanctified by that same blood. We are delivered from destruction by the blood of Christ. And we overcome by His blood. What awesome power is found in the blood of the Lamb!

Today, I want you to remember, there is power in the blood. Wonder working power in His blood. It is available to you today. One drop is enough.

I encourage you to apply His blood in your life daily. Apply His blood over your children and your loved ones. Apply it over your finances, your business and your ministry. We do that with the words of our mouth and faith in our heart. Never forget and always remember, the awesome power in the blood of Jesus that was shed for you and me.

Words are instruments of healing or instruments of pain, let your words heal and restore.
