The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” So, I answered, “O Lord God, You know.” Again, He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.” ‘ ” So, I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them. Also, He said to me, “Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.” ‘ ” So, I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army.  Ezekiel 37:1-10

I know we have all heard this passage of scripture preached many times.

In this passage, God is showing Ezekiel and us, a profound truth.  One that is strategic and weighty.  We must receive this truth, its weightiness and practice it in our daily lives.

God asked Ezekiel if the dry, dead bones could possibly have life in them.  Ezekiel had no idea.  He then proceeded to give Ezekiel strategy to speak to the bones in a progressive manner.

As Ezekiel began to prophesy, the process began.  Ezekiel first witnessed the bones come together.  Next, he watched as muscles formed over the bones.  Then, he watched as skin began to cover the bones.  Finally, he prophesied and watched as breath came into those bodies.

What was once dead, became a mighty army.

God had chosen Ezekiel to prophesy the rebirth of a nation.  He had chosen Ezekiel to prophesy their restoration.  He has also chosen you and I to prophesy to the dead things in our life.

Is there something in your life that appears dead or lifeless?  Is there a promise that appears impossible to come to pass?

More impossible than dead, dry bones coming to life?  I didn’t think so.

That day, Ezekiel saw the impossible take place right before his eyes.

This day, with this same principal, you too can see the impossible take place in your life.

To prophesy is defined as to make declarations of things to come.

Job 22:28 says, “You will also declare a thing, and it will be established for you; So, the light will shine on your ways.”

As you prophesy, the light will shine on your ways.

The word light here is defined as the light of life, light of prosperity, light of instruction, light of the face of Jehovah.

As you begin to prophesy the word of God into your situation, Jehovah, Himself, will shine on your ways.

This is confirmed in John 8:12. Jesus said, “I am the Light.”

This my friend is a divine strategy from God.  And it is a process.  Ezekiel didn’t stop when he saw the bones come together.  He continued to prophesy until the dead, dry bones became a mighty army, filled with the breath of life.

Are you ready to see your prodigal sons and daughters become a mighty army in God?  Then prophesy.  Are you ready to see your ministry or business become a mighty force upon this earth?  Then prophesy.

The power is in His word coming out of your mouth.  Proverbs 18:21 teaches us that life and death are in the power of your tongue.

What an awesome, awesome tool God has given us!  Today, let’s begin to use that tool to prophesy rebirth and restoration.  There is great power in prophesying or declaring the word of God.

Appoint My Days (remember to leave sentence under there on email)

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me today.  Father, your anointing is on me. It breaks yokes off the oppressed, causes blind eyes to see, deaf ears to hear, hearts to open and understand. It causes the sick to be healed, needs to be met, and it draws full attention to Your Word. Father, Your Word is alive in me today! Revelation knowledge flows out of me every day. I operate in the gifts of the Spirit as the Spirit wills today. Luke 4:18, Isaiah 61; I Cor. 12
