Last night the Lord gave me a dream, actually three separate dreams saying the same thing.
In the dream, debris was being gathered into one place. In the first dream, debris was coming in on every wave from the ocean. We were gathering it up and taking it to a facility to get rid of it.
In the second wave, there was truckloads of debris coming in – again we were taking it to a place to destroy it.
In the third dream, large boxes of debris was being shipped in. We were taking large hammers and beating it into fine dust until it was no more.
When I woke up and prayed about the dream, I felt God showed me some things.
In the Bible, it is referred to as chaff.
Chaff represents several things.
- Unbelieving
- Unfruitful
- Wicked
- Worthless
- Undesirable
I believe God is saying we need to get rid of all the rubbish, the debris and the chaff in our lives.
We must remove all thoughts of unbelief. Get rid of everything in our life that is unfruitful or wicked. The worthless and undesirable things must go. It is time to allow them to be burned up with the fire of God’s word.
For some of us, we are daily listening to negative news media and social media. Not only listening but repeating and engaging. Whatever you hear, you must ask yourself – does it line up with the Word of God? If not, it is worthless and unfruitful. It is not worth listening to or repeating.
Philippians 4:8 says, “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.”
It is more important than ever to keep our mind stayed on God and His Word – it is the only place we will find peace that endures.
If we continue to listen to negative things, whether on news media or social media, we will not be able to escape dealing with unbelief. They are sowing negative reports and lies – these things should not be allowed in our ears or our mind.
It’s time to seek the Lord and ask Him to show us any areas that are unfruitful. To reveal in us areas that are filled with doubt. It’s time to take a hard look at the things that are undesirable according to God’s plan for our life. It’s time to remove the debris.
Right now, the negative, unfruitful and wicked is coming in on every wave, by the truck loads, but we can demolish it. We have authority over it . God has given us the power to remove it from our lives. God has shown us that. And when we do, all that will remain is the good, pure and fruitful. That should be our goal, today and always.
Meditate on this!
For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7
