Recently, I was studying a familiar scripture found in the book of Luke.
A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it. Some fell on rock; and as soon as it sprang up, it withered away because it lacked moisture. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it and choked it. But others fell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold.” When He had said these things He cried, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” Luke 8:5-8
That same day I was looking at some plants that Brailee and Bryson had planted a few days before.
I glanced down at their plants sitting on my potting bench. They had planted several of the Mammoth Sunflower Seeds that I had sent out to our partners last year.
I looked down to see if they were growing.
I was surprised to see several of them had grown a great deal. Not only that, but the seed was still hanging onto the edge of the plant that had sprouted. I thought “wow, that is neat!” As that thought went through my mind, the Holy Spirit spoke to me and said, “the harvest comes out of the seed.”
Oh, that was a good word!
This truth, spoken by the Holy Spirit, along with my study time, caused my faith to take flight.
Our harvest is in our seed!!! Our harvest is coming out of our seed. Just as that little plant broke out of that seed and produced a harvest, so shall every single seed we have sown. We will see it! Just as I was seeing this awesome sight before my eyes!
I meditated on this truth for several hours. I knew it was God showing me that our seed, our planting into His ground, was not in vain. It is producing a harvest. Our harvest is already there. If there is seed in place, the harvest is also in place! Praise the Lord!
Several hours passed.
Then I received an email from a partner. This partner had no way of knowing what I was seeing or thinking. But her email confirmed everything God was saying to me that day.
The email contained a photo of a package of Ambrosia apples. The packaging stated, the secret is in the seed! Oh, my word! God had my attention again! The secret, is in the seed because the harvest is in the seed.
I have been studying Deuteronomy 8:18 since the beginning of this year. Each month God seems to show me something new about this verse. I know the secret to this verse is in the word of God AND in our seed.
My harvest, YOUR harvest is in our seed. Isn’t that awesome?!
If you have seed in the ground, rejoice! For you already have harvest in the field.
The secret is in the seed for the harvest is in the seed! Praise the Lord God Almighty!
Meditate on this:
In the morning sow your seed, and at evening withhold not your hand, for you do not know which will prosper, this or that, or whether both alike will be good. Eccl. 11:6Posted by
