September – A Month of Feasts

I can hardly believe we are in September.  Yet here we are.

On God’s calendar this September has several feasts – one’s He has been talking to me about for weeks.  I feel, this year, unlike any other year, God is compelling me to honor His feasts this season – therefore, I want to share with you a little about these feasts.

The first holiday is Rosh Hashanah – It begins at sundown on September 6th and ends at nightfall on September 8th.

Rosh Hashanah is the anniversary of the universe, the day God created Adam and Eve – it is the Jewish New Year. It is the part of the Day’s of Awe or High Holidays.

Following Rosh Hashanah is Yom Kippur.  It begins on September 15th and ends on the 16th.  Yom Kippur is the holiest day of the year.  It is said to be the day we are closest to God.  It is a day of atonement.  We find this in Lev. 16:30 which says, “For on this day He will forgive you, to purify you, that you be cleanses from all your sins before God.”

Following Yom Kippur is Sukkot.  Sukkot lasts seven days.  It begins on September 20 and ends on September 27th.  Sukkot is a time of joy and happiness and unity.

Following Sukkot is Simchat Torah – it begins on September 27th and ends on the 29th.  This joyous time is marked by reading the Bible, celebrating and dancing.

If any of this bears witness with you – there is a website that has a plethora of information on these feasts and how they are celebrated…. Chabad.org.

I don’t really know why God is emphasizing these holidays this year, but I do know He is.  We are on His timing – that should be more than obvious by now.  Were we on OUR timing, we would have changed things years ago… true?

I believe God is going to do amazing things during this month of feasts and I believe we must be aligned with Him to recognize and partake of them.  For that reason, I have set aside some times to enter into to God in a deeper way.  To align with HIS calendar and celebrate Him and His faithfulness.

Would you join me?

This I believe.  September is a pivotal month, and I don’t think it is a coincidence that it aligns with His holy holidays.  I expect great things this month.  But we must keep our eyes on God and our hearts fixed on Him.

This year – these holidays are three weeks earlier than normal – I don’t think that is a coincidence either.  I believe God is about to move on our behalf.  I believe He is going to do a new thing.  The question is, as the Bible says, will we perceive it?  Will we be a part of it?

I say, “Yes, we will.”

This month as you sow your best seed – sow it into the NEW YEAR in God.  A fresh start.  A new beginning – and then observe and celebrate HIS holidays on His calendar this month.

May I be the first to say, “Happy New Year” May our God grant you a sweet, and prosperous year in the days to come.  Now… let’s celebrate GOD!

Please know I love each of you and I appreciate you and your covenant with this ministry – may God continually bless you and give you the desires of your heart.
