The other day I read a post by someone who shared something God had him do as a prophetic act.  He said he put a piece of red tape over his door, signifying the blood of Jesus applied to his door as in the book of Exodus 12.

I love prophetic acts of faith, therefore I decided to follow his lead.

I had Bryson, my grandson, help me apply the red vinyl’s over my door post as I prayed over my house and my family.

A couple hours later I was outside doing something, I don’t even recall what.  When I walked back in the house, Bryson asked me a question about the prophetic act of the vinyl on the door.  He wanted to know what I was doing outside.  I responded that I was simply outside for a while.  He said, “it only works if you stay inside the doors where the blood was applied.”  He repeated, “you have to stay inside.”

Those words jumped in my spirit and I knew God was revealing a truth to me.

I was reminded of Noah.  His family was only safe when they were shut in the ark and remained there until God released them.

Proverbs 18:10 says; The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.

Psalm 46:1 says; God is our place of safety.

We, as believers, have a place of safety.  We even have a place where the wicked one cannot touch us.  (1 John 5:18)

The key is, as Bryson reminded me, staying in that place.

Psalm 91 says;  He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”  Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence.  He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.  You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.  A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.  Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.  In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.  You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.  “Because he has set his love upon Me,  herefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.  With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.”

Many of you are thinking, “I already know that scripture.”  Some of you may have even skipped over reading it.  However, if you are experiencing fear today because of the chaos, I think you may have forgotten the promise of God in this scripture.  To experience that promise, you must remain in Him.  You must stay inside the word, the name, and the blood of Jesus.

If we make our home in HIM, He will protect us.  I encourage you to read over Psalm 91 today.  Pray it over your household.  Declare it over yourself.  Believe it.  Receive the promises of God manifesting in your life.  Stay inside Him and His word, for in that place, there is absolutely nothing to fear.

Father, we thank You that You are our refuge, our strength, our protection.  We will not fear.  We will continue to trust in You alone.  You are so very faithful.  We thank You for that.  We are safe and hidden in You and there, there alone, we shall remain.  In Jesus name.  Amen.
