Last week I was watching a series on television, one I have watched many times, I almost know it by heart. There are so few clean tv series, I keep going back to this one.
While I was watching it came to a place where, if you were watching it for the first time, you would think one of the main characters were not going to make it. It would be a devastating end.
While watching I thought, “If I didn’t know the ending to this part, it would be stressful to watch, but because I know the end, I know how it turns out, so it’s easy to watch.”
God can speak through anything!
The moment that thought went through my mind; I realized a powerful truth. In life, if we know the end from the beginning, the middles parts wouldn’t stress us so much. Or at least they should not stress us so much. The good news is that we do know the end from the beginning. We may not know exactly what will transpire, but we do know the faithfulness of God.
He is the Alpha and Omega – the beginning and the end. What He declared about us before we were born is still the truth and it is still His plan for our life.
In the Amplified Bible, Jeremiah 29:11 God says, “For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.”
God has a good plan for us – we have hope in God. Regardless of where we are right now today, or what we are battling today – time after time in scripture, God assures us of a good outcome.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. Is. 43:2
“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the Lord. Is. 54:17
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. Rev 12:11
We overcome every attack of the enemy, everything that comes against us by the blood of Jesus Christ and our testimony, which is the Word of God.
My friend, we do know the end from the beginning. God has a GOOD PLAN for us. God has a plan of HOPE for each one of us. Therefore, we can’t allow the enemy to bring fear, stress, or anxiety to us in the meantime. If we continue in the Word of God and stand firm in faith, God will cause all things to work for our good.
Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
All things work for our good in God. I heard a preacher say last week, “if something came into your life, it went through the filter of God.”
God knows what we are prepared to handle and what we are not – and if we are not ready for it – He will lead us another way. This is one powerful truth I purpose in my heart to remember. We see this in the life of Moses.
Exodus 13:17-18 says, “When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them along the road through the land of the Philistines, though it was shorter. For God said, “If the people face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.” So God led the people around by the way of the wilderness toward the Red Sea.”
The people were not ready to face war, so God led them a different way. He will do the same for us, He is no respecter of persons.
We know the end from the beginning. We win. God wins. The final page has already been written, don’t let all the stuff in the middle steal your joy. Instead, rejoice in the Lord for the final outcome – rejoice and be glad.
