Thinking like God thinks should be our goal. Walking like Jesus walks is what we should press toward.
I was watching a teaching video last night when I heard a statement that seemed to explode in my spirit.
The statement was ‘God declares the end from the beginning.’
This statement is actually scriptural, it is found in Isaiah 46:10 which says; Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure.
I have heard or read this scripture hundreds of times. I have heard it preached numerous times, yet today, it exploded in my spirit.
This truth alone should give us great peace in the midst of challenging times in our life, why? Because God is not at the beginning of a challenge trying to figure out how to get to the end of it. No! He declared the end before the challenge ever took place. He declared the end first and what He is declared is what you have a promise for.
Nothing that has happened in your life to this point has caught God off guard.
Think about it for a moment. When Jesus told the disciples ‘we are going to the other side’ He was declaring the end from the beginning. Therefore, the storm that arose in the middle of their trip did not have the power to stop what Jesus had already declared at the beginning of the journey.
When God declared to Abraham that he would have a son, nothing could stop it. His age couldn’t stop it. Sarah’s age couldn’t stop it. Ishmael couldn’t stop it. Nothing could stop what God had declared for the end for Abraham.
And what about Joseph? God declared his end to him in dreams. His brothers tried to stop it. Potiphar couldn’t stop it. Nothing could stop what God had declared the end for Joseph, why? Because God declared the end before the beginning even took place.
It doesn’t stop there – God declared the end from the beginning for David, for Moses, for the children of Israel…and for you and I.
God declared your end when He said in Isaiah 53:5; But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him and with his stripes we are healed.
When sickness tries to come on you, remember that God has declared your end before the sickness even tried to come, He declared it when He said, ‘by His stripes you were healed.’
When lack tries to come to you, God has declared your end from the beginning in 2 Corinthians 8:9, which says; For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might be rich.
I don’t know where you find yourself today, perhaps you feel the promises God made to you will never come to pass. If God has made you a promise, remember this, He declared YOUR end from the beginning.
What has He said to you? Did He tell you that you would write a book? He declared the end from the beginning. You WILL write a book!
Did He tell you He had a spouse for you? Then He declared your end from the beginning. God will send you a spouse.
Did He tell you that you would be debt free? He declared your end from the beginning. Whatever He has said to you, He declared the end from the beginning. Debt freedom is coming to you.
Regardless of where you find yourself today, never forget, God has declared your end from the very beginning of time. And as He said in Isaiah 46:10, His counsel shall stand. Nothing can stop it. God is faithful and if He said it, He will do it. You have His word on it, and His word cannot fail.
What, then, do you do in the midst of the journey? What do you do when you feel you are not going to make it to the other side? You do what God does. You do what Jesus does, you agree with His word and declare the end from the beginning. In doing so, you will make it to the other side and whatever God has promised you…you will surely see it.
Remember the words of Jeremiah 29:11 that says; For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. God has declared your future and it is bright! He has declared YOUR end from the very beginning. It is filled with prosperity and hope! Never, never forget that!
