This week one of our partners shared a testimony with me. She had posted on her Facebook page how the Lord had led her to sow a personal seed (toward my septic issue) and the outcome of that seed. Just days after she sowed her seed, she heard water running in her house.
In her words… “Last week I heard, never saw signs, water running in my downstairs bathroom that continued to run even when the main line was turned off. Several plumbers over several days with water running 24/7. On Friday leak detectors were out, numerous calls made including my friends I bought the house from to help trace lines and midday I’m being told we can keep searching at $300/hr or better option was run new line at $7k.
I felt strongly to watch my words and hold my peace, only a few people knew briefly of the situation. I asked the plumbers to take a break, talk amongst themselves, and talk with the tech that has serviced my home numerous times, that he’s good about finding solutions. A while later he called me backing what the original techs said but asked if I wanted him to try something new to see if it would fix it and buy us time on a permanent fix. I agreed and within an hour or, so the leak was gone and not running.
What could have cost her seven thousand dollars ended up costing below $900. What a praise report.
I thought about her email many times over the next few days and then, God reminded me of something.
Could it be that we are in the time of the plowman overtaking the reaper?
In January of this year, over and again, the Lord had me sow seeds into different people. Several times he prompted me to sow a ‘house’ seed. Now, I thought these seeds were for the payoff of my home – but God knew what was coming across my path in February and he made sure I had seed in the ground BEFORE it happened.
I have always said, “when God prompts you to sow a seed, it is not because he wants to take something FROM you but because he wants to get something TO YOU.”
John 12:24 says, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.”
The Amplified Bible says it like this: I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains [just one grain; it never becomes more but lives] by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces many others and yields a rich harvest.
My friend and I planted our seeds into the good ground that God prompted us to, and they both produced a harvest, when we needed it. That’s the miracle of a seed in the Kingdom of God. Remember, we also both knew to watch our words and to not dig up our seed with negative words.
Even as I am writing this, the Lord highlighted something to me.
I sowed my seed in January – I reaped my harvest in February. She sowed her seed in February and reaped her harvest in the same month. That, my friend, is a quick harvest for both of us.
Amos 9:13 says, “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him who sows seed; The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, and all the hills shall flow with it.”
Could it be that we are in the time of the plowman overtaking the reaper?
It also reminds me of the dream God gave me a few weeks ago about a harvest coming before its time. I shared it with you in my writing, A Time to See Harvest. God is speaking. And not only speaking but he is manifesting his Word concerning sowing seed.
I love how the Amplified reads concerning Galatians 6:7: Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.) [He inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God.] For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap.
For whatever a man sows…that…and that only…will he reap. I am seeing the fruit of this scripture all around me. Help us God, be sensitive to you and your Word. Thank you for sending harvest…according to what we have sown! What a faithful God we serve.
Appoint my Days
I walk in total triumph in every situation, for Jesus has destroyed failure in my life. I am an overcomer and can do all things through Christ. I have the victory and the victory has me! I am a victor and a king!
