Alignment is a position of agreement or alliance.
Agreement is defined as harmony, conformity, similitude, and a union of the minds.
Alliance is defined as any union or connection of interests between persons, families, states or corporations.
Alignment is a Biblical word. It’s used in the New Testament. We find it in Ephesians 4:12; For the equipping of the saints, for the work of service. This word equipping is “katartizo” in the Greek. It means to align or to put things in a proper position.
So, why am I talking about alignment today? Well, I must tell you. This word has been on my mind all day long.
It began when I was listening to a minister talk about first fruits, I heard him mention that we are in month THREE on the Jewish calendar.
Suddenly, I had to get on my computer and check…my mind was stunned and thinking ‘could it really have been only three months?’
Yes, we are in the third month on the Jewish calendar. It was only three months ago that God instructed me to align myself with the timing of God and to honor Him with my tithe and first fruit in alignment with the Jewish calendar, which I firmly believe is God’s timing.
When He first gave me instruction, He took me to Proverbs 3:9-10; Honor the Lord with your possessions and with the firstfruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will overflow with new wine.
As I taught recently on the Partner Prayer Call, honor is a big deal to God, if you haven’t heard the message, be sure to listen to it. It is absolutely vital we humble ourselves and submit to doing things Gods way and in Gods timing. Doing it in HIS TIMING is as important as doing it His way.
On the first month of the Jewish calendar, I began honoring God with my tithe and firstfruit on the FIRST day of each month…as I said, we just entered month three.
In those three months, by obeying God, I have been able to completely pay off both credit cards and save more money in those three months than I did the entire last year. Beyond that, I took my family on a weekend getaway. This is impossible on my salary, yet it is the facts.
I have been a tither for 25 plus years, and I have been a faithful giver as well. When God says ‘give’ I give without question. I have lived a life of giving. That being said, I have never seen a time like this.
When I aligned myself with God’s timing, things changed. I am telling you….THINGS CHANGED and I didn’t do anything different but obey God in observing HIS timing.
Let me be clear. It wasn’t an easy three months, frankly, I have had great resistance in those three months and my family has been through INTENSE battles in those three months, but in the midst of it, God was prospering.
The ONLY thing different was I aligned with God’s timing.
If this writing speaks to you today, I encourage you to begin to study the Jewish calendar and the times and seasons in God. Pray about aligning yourself with HIS time…I am so thankful I did.
I had to share my story with you today. I stand in awe of God and the great things He has done. I humble myself, by choice, under His mighty hand and I humble myself to do things HIS way and in HIS time. From this day forth.
Prayer for Today: Father, I thank you for this revelation, help me to walk in it every day of my life. I am thankful God. I am so very thankful to you. In Jesus name. Amen.
