This week the Lord reminded me of a dream he gave me a couple years ago about this same time of year.
It was a short and simple dream – but it left its mark on me.
In the dream I visited a Soup Kitchen that I have been connected to for several years. I walked into the kitchen and handed the lady behind the counter a loaf of white bread. It was a loaf of sliced bread like you would pick up at the grocery store. She took the bread and then she immediately handed me five loaves of fresh, hot from the oven, homemade bread. Even in the dream, the aroma of the bread was wonderful, and it remained.
Throughout the rest of the dream the same thing would happen, I would give someone a gift, one simple gift, and they would in turn give me a tremendous gift. For instance, when I handed someone a gift of money, just a couple bills, someone handed me back a huge stack of money. As I woke up, I kept this dream in my heart knowing God was showing me something significant.
Even to this day, each time I bake bread and smell the aroma, I am reminded of this dream and what God taught me about multiplication through that dream.
In the days following this dream, God began to speak to me about multiplication. He reminded me of the little boy with the fishes and loaves and how Jesus blessed it. If you remember, it multiplied to the point that it not only fed everyone there, but there was a great deal left over as well.
This was exactly what kept happening in my dream, I would sow a seed and it was quickly multiplied and given back to me.
Hebrews 6:14 says, “Surely blessing I will bless you and multiplying I will multiply you.”
As I was meditating on this scripture, I began to search the meanings of words. I knew blessing was defined as an empowerment to prosper, but I wanted to dig out the root meaning of multiply.
The word multiply means this; to multiply, the ‘whole’, to be filled until you are completely fulfilled.
Oh my! I have been praying for wholeness in every area of my life. I instantly knew, through this insightful dream, God was speaking to me about the very things I had been praying about.
He was telling me then, and I believe now as well…. don’t grow weary – we will reap if we refuse to faint. As we continue to give, it will be multiplied back to us.
Remember the boy with the fishes and loaves? Jesus blessed his small offering and it multiplied. It multiplied until it fed the WHOLE group of people, and everyone was filled and fulfilled. Praise the Lord!
This month as you sow your seed, we are declaring your seed blessed, just as Jesus did that day. We are also declaring multiplication over every seed sown. We declare it will multiply until you are completely whole in every area of your life. We are praying it will multiply until you are filled and fulfilled.
Even as I was writing this today, God continued to confirm this Word. It is time for multiplication – I am hearing it over and again. Will you join me in declaring multiplication over every seed sown this month? Let’s do it and let’s see everyone blessed beyond measure this very month. God is blessing our giving and we WILL see multiplication of every seed sown, in Jesus’ name. It is TIME for multiplication.
