This morning I find myself still thinking about what God spoke yesterday. “You are marching into your promises this month.”
The word march is defined as, movement, progression, advancement.
It reminds me of a scripture, of a time in history.
But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.” Then the Lord said to Moses, “Why are you crying out to me? Tell the people to get moving!” Exodus 14:13-15 (NLT)
I don’t think I have ever read it like this before, not like I saw it this morning.
I find it odd that Moses told the people… “stand still and watch God.” But God said, “don’t cry to Me, tell the people to get moving!!!” Have you ever noticed that?!
I believe it is the same today. While the world is attempting to paralyze people with fear, God is saying… “Move forward, march, it is time to advance.”
Whose report are you going to believe? Will you sit still in fear or move forward in faith?
Proverbs 4:25 says; Let your eyes look straight ahead, and your eyelids look right before you.
Philippians 3:12-14 says; Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
It’s time my friends, to march. To press toward all God has for us. We can’t do that if we are paralyzed with fear. We must do it in faith.
In Hebrews 11 we read…
By faith, the worlds were framed with words. By faith, Enoch was taken by God. By faith, Noah built an ark. By faith, Abraham obeyed and received his promise fulfilled. By faith, we will march and receive our promise.
Hebrews 11: 6 says; without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Jesus said many times… “your faith has made you well.” Again, we see faith as the key.
I realize some of you reading this have been disappointed. You have put your faith out there and feel like you were slapped in the face. You hesitate to believe again. However, we are faith people.
We believe God. We believe His word. Our only option is faith. Every single thing we read in the Bible about Abraham, Moses, David and Jesus is about faith. Faith in a faithful God.
Today I encourage you to build up your faith in this word for March. Grab hold of it, believe it with all your heart and run with it. March into your promises this month. Don’t look back at the disappointments, move forward. Advance. Progress. Remember in the book of Exodus, God said, “don’t sit there, get moving!” Let’s get moving in faith.
Meditate on this:
Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:18-19
