Today, I was thinking about the writing I sent out on Friday, I pondered how many prophetic voices have said the solar eclipse would herald a new season, a season of seven years of plenty.
If this is truth, we can look back to the life of Joseph and see that when God declared seven years of plenty, His instruction didn’t stop there. He told His people to use those seven years of plenty wisely to prepare for seven years of famine.
I had to wonder, then, if we will have seven years of plenty, is God also saying to use that time to prepare for drought or lack?
For you see, Joseph and his family, even though they endured the famine, it did not affect them. I believe that is how our God operates, I believe He often warns us ahead of time so that we will be prepared when famine or lack is coming.
As I was thinking on all this, God reminded me of a time just last year that He began to speak to me about preparing for what was ahead. He said, ‘I want you to prepare your heart for some things. I want you to dig in the word daily and prepare to walk in immovable faith in three areas. I want you to study and build up your faith in health, prosperity and protection.’
The first thing I was reminded of was that He said ‘health’ and not healing. God wants His people to walk in divine health, He does not want us to continually need a healing or miracle in our body. Secondly, He said build your faith in prosperity, He didn’t say finances…He said prosperity. God wants His people to prosper, to thrive and not just survive. Finally, He said build your faith in protection. Although I pray over me and my family and our partners on a regular basis, I don’t often think about protection. However, in our world today I can see that is an area I need to become more grounded in.
At the time, the Lord spoke this to me I received an email from Chuck Pierce about preparing for what was ahead. This word from last year said:
These are days of great change …so prepare yourself! I will give you ample time of preparation. By Feast of Tabernacles of this year, there will be intifadas that rise throughout the earth. (Intifada is a very specific word. It is the uprising of military expression from the Arab world.)
Intifadas will start arising. I say to France, I am giving you ample warning; and to the Jews in France, you must know to hide yourselves in days ahead. There will be great movement that comes through France by November. This is a time of great change, so I am calling the watchmen on the wall to watch.
I say to Israel, prepare yourself, for you will start increasing by the end of this year in ways you’ve never increased before. Get ready, for you will not only know the nations that are coming in, you begin to be a part of bringing the nations in. I say to America, prepare yourself, for what occurs in France will then double in this nation in the year ahead. So, know I am warning you now. I will keep the next generation safe. I will cause mothers to rise now and begin to hear. I will cause those that will prepare a way for My people in the movement of the earth to already come into place. Know now, 2016, I am vav-ing the earth, creating highways, and will be determined to move My people into place for their future. Know this: nations will now come to the valley of decision and make choices this year! Rebekah then prophesied, This is an international call. This is not just to France or Israel or the Arab nations, but this is to every nation on this earth. This is international — you cannot get away from it, and you cannot hide from it. You can only be prepared to be and hear and do as I have called you to do.
This email didn’t frighten me or cause me distress, it simply confirmed what God had already told me…PREPARE.
Today, I again hear God speaking to my heart to…prepare.
If I read through the pages of my Bible I discover that Gods people were always warned to prepare when something was coming their way. God often told His people not just once, but many times, to prepare for what was coming. Most of the time, they were prepared and walked through unharmed, just as God intended. I believe His intent is the same for us today. He is telling us these things are coming and if we prepare, He will protect us. He doesn’t want to frighten, but to cause us to be prepared in our heart and in our minds.
At times like these the most vital thing God’s people need to know is how to hear the voice of God clearly. If we are listening for His voice and hearing God, He will tell us where to go and when. He will tell us what to avoid. He will lead us and guide us in the way we should go, every single day. But we must have a heart to listen and ears to hear.
I believe this is a time, like no other, for deep roots.
Colossians 2:7 in the Amplified Bible says; ‘Have the roots [of your being] firmly and deeply planted in Him, fixed and founded in Him, being continually built up in Him, becoming increasingly more confirmed and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and abounding and overflowing in it with thanksgiving.’
I just love that scripture! If we become a people with deep roots, we will not be anxious or frightened, regardless of what we see and hear, we will continue to walk in peace, knowing we are rooted and grounded in God and His word.
Jeremiah 17:7-8 says; Most blessed is the man who believes in, trusts in, and relies on the Lord, and whose hope and confidence the Lord is. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit. (Amplified)
This is OUR promise from God. When we trust in and rely on God, our roots grow deep into Him and His word…and we will not be anxious or fearful when we see lack all around us AND we will continue increasing through it all. If God tells us to prepare for what is ahead, it is not to cause fear, it is to give us peace in knowing, we are fully equipped in Him.
Isaac continued to increase through lack! You may recall, the Bible says Isaac sowed in the land of famine, DROUGHT, a reaped a hundred-fold and God blessed him.
As I continued to study this, God led me to yet another scripture that confirms the truth that when we prepare ahead of time, the storm may blow, but it won’t affect us…us who are anchored in Him.
Luke 6:46-48; ‘Why do you call Me, Lord, Lord, and do not practice what I tell you? For everyone who comes to Me and listens to My words, in order to heed their teaching, and does them, I will show you what he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug and went down deep and laid a foundation upon the rock; and when a flood arose, the torrent broke against that house and could not shake or move it, because it had been securely built or founded on a rock.’ (Amplified)
This scripture tells us again…. go deep into Him, into the foundation of the solid ROCK which is Jesus Christ. Go deep into His word. As you do, the storm may come but it won’t move or shake you, why? Because you secure on the Rock, down deep into the foundation of Jesus Christ.
Furthermore, this same chapter warns us of what will happen if our foundation is NOT in Him.
Verse 49; ‘But he who merely hears and does not practice doing My words is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation, against which the torrent burst, and immediately it collapsed and fell, and the breaking and ruin of that house was great.’
When God spoke to me prepare, that literally put the ball in my court. I can choose to prepare in health, prosperity and protection or I can choose not to and I will eat the fruit of my choice. I will live the fruit of my choice. It’s entirely up to me. As for me, I choose to prepare by getting in the word of God and first, preparing my heart and my spirit, then God will show me the next step.
He is so faithful and He will show us the way to go. There is no need to fear, He is with us. And He will cause us to continue to increase if we will do it His way. Of that I am certain.
I don’t know what the next seven years hold, or the seven after that. But I do know this; if my foundation is deep in Him, if my roots grow deep into Him and His word, He will make sure I prosper, I am in health, and I am protected, He will make sure I am immovable in Him…I have His word on it. And that is something I can fully rely on.
Prayer for Today: Father, help us to prepare. Give us the steps to take to be fully prepared for whatever is coming. Help us to continue to increase and prosper for the rest of our days. Help us to walk in divine health. Thank you that the angels of God surround us and keep us safe always. Thank you that no weapon formed against us will prosper and no harm will come near our dwelling. For this we give you praise, in Jesus name. Amen.
