This morning as I was checking my emails I saw a post from The Elijah List. The words jumped out at me because I had just made a similar statement the night before to a friend. Chuck Pierce’s words were ‘we are at a turning point! Watch for Signs!’

The night before I was talking with a friend on the phone and said ‘I feel breakthrough has begun.’ He said ‘what makes you say that?’ I said ‘I feel these things that happened on Monday were signs that breakthrough has begun.’

I knew it didn’t make sense, but God doesn’t always make sense to me. Many times what I feel in my Spirit will be stronger than what I can make sense of – therefore I follow the Spirit of God. And this time I felt God had showed me some things this week that declared ‘breakthrough has come…watch the signs!’

I have shared this before, but it bears repeating today. It is just like traveling to another city. When you are a few hundred miles away you will only see a sign every now and then with the name of the destination on it. However, as you get closer and closer to your destination, the signs will be more frequent and much larger until you arrive at your destination.

When I travel to Florida, I see no signs of Florida until I pass through Atlanta, GA. It is the same in the Spirit, there are some places we must travel THROUGH before we begin to see more signs of our destination. Does that mean we are not going to our destination? No! Of course not, we are going the right direction all the time, we are just not close enough to see the signs yet…but watch for them, they are coming.

Imagine, the day Jesus told His disciples ‘we are going to the other side.’ In the NLT version of Mark 4 it says; As evening came, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let’s cross to the other side of the lake.” So they took Jesus in the boat and started out, leaving the crowds behind (although other boats followed). But soon a fierce storm came up. High waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water. Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?” When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm. Then he asked them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?”

Imagine this; Jesus said ‘we are going to the other side.’ When he spoke those words everything that could come against this journey came, but, did they make it to the other side? Yes! Were the disciples able to see the signs that they would make it to the other side? No. But they arrived at their destination.

I don’t know what your destination is but this I do know….I am seeing signs, small signs, and they are not close together…yet. However, they are getting closer AND, I AM seeing signs of the beginning of breakthrough. Imagine a dam, a breaking through usually starts with a small trickle, we must acknowledge the trickle. The more we are thankful for the trickle, the wider the breakthrough becomes. On the other hand, if we see a small sign and say ‘oh that’s nothing’ then it may very well end there. Look for the signs and BE THANKFUL for each sign.

It is a month of thanksgiving, not just the holiday but thanksgiving from the heart, I have felt that since November 1, we must be a people who are thankful for the little and the big…but first, for the little signs. We must be thankful for all things. That’s what the Bible says “in all things give thanks for this is the will of God concerning you.” (1 Thess. 5:18)

As I said, I don’t know your particular destination but I know and it has been confirmed by others in the body of Christ this week…over and over again…there are signs everywhere – look for the signs!no-turning-back
