David found favor by obeying God and by worshiping Him all his life, even though things often went against Him. Noah found favor by obeying God and building an ark. Mary found favor by believing what God said would be even though it seemed impossible to her. Jesus increased in favor by only doing what the Father said and only saying what the Father said. He increased in favor by listening and obeying God in all things.

We increase in favor the same way.

Did you realize that each time you believe the word of God you are increasing in favor? Do you know that each time you obey God in your giving you are increasing in favor? Do you know that each time you trust God in the midst of turmoil, you are increasing in favor?

Favor is not automatic, however it can be attained and it can become your possession and when you possess it you will see God exerting His holy influence in your life in ways you never imagined. Favor is worth securing.

As I studied the word concerning favor I found a scripture in Psalms that said ‘my anger is but for a moment, but FAVOR IS FOR LIFE.’ Oh my! This is great news! Once you obtain favor and begin to walk in it, it is yours for life. I love that.

Today I encourage you to seek God’s face and ask to obtain His favor…it is a recompense and a benefit that you will enjoy possessing, of that you can be sure.
