Luke 18:1 tells us that Jesus showed us we should never give up. One of my favorite scriptures is found in Micah 7:8; “Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The Lord will be a light to me.”

There is something you will notice about the true people of God, though they fall, they will arise – every time, without fail. If they continue to trust in God – they will arise. They may appear down today but they will arise tomorrow.

I can’t tell you how many times it has looked like it was over for me or one of my loved ones – when it looked like it was time for the enemy to rejoice – it looked like I had fallen. However, every time, I arose. Every time I felt as if I was sitting in darkness – the Lord became my light.

I don’t know what He is speaking to you about today when He says ‘never give up’ – but you do. You know in your heart what thing it is in your life that appears dead or hopeless and yet He is saying ‘never give up.’ Remember the One who raises the dead dwells in us – whatever we speak life in to will have life, as long as it lines up with the word of God. The life giving power that resides in us will cause life to manifest.

Never give up on your dreams. Never give up on what God has told you. Never give up on what He has promised you. God will never give up on you – never give up on Him. 1 Cor. 1:9 in the Message Bible says it like this: God, who got you started in this spiritual adventure, shares with us the life of his Son and our Master Jesus. He will never give up on you. Never forget that.”

God refuses to give up on you – refuse to give up on Him.
Refuse to give up on your dream.
No matter what comes your way, refuse to give up.

Over the past twenty years, I have learned many things about God – one thing that I have known without question is His faithfulness. If you refuse to give up, His faithfulness will come shining through. You will see His goodness.

Another of my favorite scriptures is this; Psalm 27:13 “I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living.” The Message Bible says it like this; I am confident I will see His goodness in my life. This is how we must live – confident we will see His goodness, after all, isn’t that a life of faith.
