Let’s look at some things that take place in the presence of the Lord. The manifested presence of our God.
Honor and majesty are before Him; strength and gladness are in His place. 1 Chronicles 16:27
You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11
You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the plots of man; You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues. Psalm 31:20
Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord. Acts 3:19
The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. Psalm 97:5
When my enemies turn back, they shall fall and perish at Your presence. Psalm 9:3
The earth shook; the heavens also dropped rain at the presence of God; Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel. Psalm 68:8
These are all the wonderful things that take place in the presence of the Lord. There are things to be found in His presence that are not found anywhere else…not in prayer, not in praise, not in teaching, only in His presence.
It is what feeds me. It is the very air I breathe. And I can tell when I need a fresh supply.
I run into His presence and all becomes right…regardless of what is going on around me.
Many believers never experience this awesome, manifested presence of God. That saddens me. That’s one of the reasons Jesus came, that we might be reconciled to an intimate relationship with God. If you miss that, you are truly missing out.
Today, I want to encourage you – cultivate a relationship with God. An intimate relationship. Spend time alone, just you and Him, in His presence. Soak Him in. Sit before Him quietly and listen. Build intimacy with Him. It will take you places spiritually that are beyond comprehension. It is the most wonderful part of life. It truly is. In His presence is all you need…and then some.
