I woke up this morning with this question in my heart… “what has GOD said?”
I know what the media is saying. I know what people are saying, but what has God said?
Isaiah 46:8-9 says, “Remember this, and show yourselves men; Recall to mind, O you transgressors. Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand.’”
Romans 4:21 says; and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
Friends, God has spoken mighty things over your life, our nation and 2020. We simply cannot forget that.
We must remember what He has said.
If you choose to listen to the media for hours a day you are going to be afraid and anxious.
Think back just a few years ago. We didn’t have social media. We didn’t even hear world news daily. We only knew what was happening in our area.
I agree, it improves some things when we are alerted to everything around us – but not all things.
I read a story about a group of people who were on a water rafting vacation for a few weeks in March. They had no clue of the pandemonium that was happening in our country until they returned from their trip. One of them said he liked it better that way. I can understand.
The word of God says God will keep us in perfect peace, but ONLY when our mind is stayed upon Him. I have said it repeatedly, but I am going to say it one more time…
“What we feed grows.”
If you are feeding on the media and the reports you are hearing on the news, fear will grow in you. If you continue, fear will increase in your life. These things are not good for your body or your immune system. On the other hand, peace and joy bring healing.
Laughter is good like medicine. Peace stills your mind and body.
Instead of feeding fear, feed your faith. Feed on the word of God. Spend more time praying and declaring His word over you and your family. Not out of fear, but out of your trust in God.
It’s time to remember what God has said. He says…
No weapon formed against you shall prosper. Isaiah 54:17
The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Psalm 9:9-10
Those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. Psalm 34:10
Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace—because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for in the Lord God you have an everlasting rock. Isaiah 26: 3-4
You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Psalm 32:7-8
It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. Deuteronomy 31:8
When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and rescues them from all their troubles. Psalm 34:17
In this season…in every season…remember what God has said.
Meditate on this:
But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. 2 Thess. 3:3
