Every now and then I get an email from someone talking about the seeds (financial) they have sown. In the note they often ask, “How do I water my seed.”

My thought is always, “good question, I’m so glad you asked.”

The book of Hebrews talks about our profession of faith. Chapter 10:23 says, Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

This scripture illuminates the importance of speaking what we want to see rather than what we may presently see. In my opinion, it goes right along with the scripture found in Romans 4:17.

(as it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed – God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did.

Oh my, how I love this scripture. We should really take more time to meditate on this one word.

God – who gives life to the dead. Do you currently have anything in your life that appears dead?

God – who calls those things which do not exist as though they did – not do – DID.

I know, I know, I am getting a little off track, but this scripture captured me today.

So, we do this same thing with our finances, with the seeds we have in the ground.  Once our seed is in the ground, it needs water. The Bible tells us that the Word of God is like water – we water our seeds then, with the Word of God. We declare God’s Word. We call those things that do not currently exist as though they already do. We speak life over our seeds.

Never, ever sow a seed and then declare, “Well, I tried it, and it didn’t work.” No! that will only uproot what you have sown. Instead, do what God does and call those things that be not as though they already are!

In this scripture, it is talking about Abraham. When God told Abraham His promise to him, all God wanted from Abraham was for him to agree with Him. That is what God wants from us today as well. We agree with God by declaring and believing what God has already said about the seeds we sow.

Look again at what the scripture says…I HAVE made you the father of many nations. Already completed. The same is true with our seed. What we sow, we reap. It’s a promise.

Another awesome truth is found in 2 Corinthians 8:9, For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

The Amplified Bible says…so that we would be abundantly supplied.

Jesus already did all that was required for us to have abundance, the rest is up to us. Our part is to do what the Word of God says. To honor Him with our finances, to give and to agree with what His Word says about our prosperity.

Today, dig through the Word of God and find the scriptures that speak to you concerning your finances. Begin to declare God’s promises over your seed. Each time you sow, declare His Word. In doing so, you are coming into agreement with what He says is already done FOR YOU and your seed. Each time you do this, your seed is watered with the best, purest water available.

Oh, I am so excited to see what God will do with your declarations and the seeds you have planted – it’s going to be good! You, my friend, ARE ALREADY abundantly supplied…just as the Word of God says. To God be all the glory!
