There are some things in our Christian walk that are vital, today’s subject is one of those.

Recently the Lord has been speaking to me quite often about the importance of the tithe. Not only the tithe itself but also how we do it and WHEN we do it. We have had several in-depth conversations along this line.

It is quite clear to me that I won’t access the blessing without honoring God with my finances, and I want to walk in the blessing of God.

I was thinking on this today and listening to a teaching by Bill Johnson on the same subject when I received an email from one of our partners, I want to share that email with you.

I wanted to share a personal insight with you in case it can help someone else. I have almost always tithed for as long as I can remember, but have never really felt that anything was different for me financially whether I tithed on a pay check or forgot as I did from time-to-time.

Recently things have been different. I have been immediately taking the tithe out of our checks on payday instead of “whenever it would come to mind within the two-week period”. Since I started doing that, I have noticed that even when the math doesn’t make sense in my head, we have ALWAYS had more than enough even with unexpected expenses including a plane ticket and rental car for my husband when his mom passed away in March! In the natural, we should not have been able to pay for that emergency trip without transferring money from our savings and yet we were! Praise God for his mercy and faithfulness to His Word!

There was one payday recently after God had revealed this to me, that I forgot to send in my tithe until about a week after we were paid. That pay period again, we barely made it to the next one.

I don’t believe it is about a religious action done out of fear of running out of money at all, but THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH! I am operating in faith only when I take the money right off the top and give it to Him not knowing what may come up that month! The way I was tithing for years was not done out of faith. It has made a huge difference for me in my walk with Jesus, and I am grateful that He revealed it to me.

Perhaps there are others like me out there that just haven’t seen it that way yet. God is faithful, and He does want to bless us, but it requires faith in His faithfulness to allow Him to act on our behalf! I LOVE HIM! Thank you Jesus!

Have a great weekend, Kim, and thank you for your faithfulness to God and the example that you have been in my life! – J.T.

She said, ‘recently things have been different.’ Now, I realize she is talking about her personal tithe but I can tell you this as well – in the Spirit, things have been different lately concerning the tithe.

Since last month God has been speaking to me about those who tithe and those who don’t and how this act will separate one group from the other.
It is the time and the season for the faithful tithers and givers to step into the blessing of God and see a grand manifestation of God’s goodness in their lives.

I sense a seriousness this season over our tithing and giving. Some don’t want to hear that, others know it is truth.

I also believe those who tithe faithfully, how and when God’s word says, will see God PROVE Himself on their behalf like never before.

The season we are in is no time to play with our tithe and offering. It is a time to take it as serious as God does. A time to do what His word says and do it WHEN He says do it. There is a reason we tithe first. It is, as our partner said, an act of faith. Furthermore, it is an act of declaring God is first in our life. As we put Him first, He makes our needs HIS priority as well. As we put Him first and give Him what belongs to Him first, He opens the windows of heaven and pours out a blessing we can’t contain. And He rebukes the devourer for our sake. What an awesome promise. What a mighty God we serve!

I am so thankful for the email from our partner, I love when God confirms His word to me. He has confirmed this day the seriousness of this subject in this season, not only that, but also the blessing that is on our tithe in this season.

Malachi 3:6-12 says; “For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore, you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob. Yet from the days of your fathers You have gone away from My ordinances and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you,” Says the Lord of hosts. “But you said, ‘In what way shall we return?’ “Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, ‘In what way have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you have robbed Me, even this whole nation. Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sake, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” Says the Lord of hosts; “And all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a delightful land,” Says the Lord of hosts.

This is God’s word, it does not change. This is not under the law, as many want to think, this is the ways of the Kingdom of God and if you want to walk in the blessings of God, you will walk in the ways of the Kingdom of God. It’s that simple.

Prayer for Today:
Father, I thank you that as I give you my tithe and offerings, you open up the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing I can’t contain. You rebuke the devourer for my sake and I thank you for that. May you be glorified in my life. In Jesus name. Amen.
